Elk City

Elk City is a small wilderness town of under 200 people
that began as a mining and logging community.
It has a post office, elementary school, Baptist church,
general store, convenience store/cafe/gas station,
two sawmills, two lodging facilities, gift store, 
VFW venue, laundromat, and auto repair shop.
It also has two community development organizations,
a group called "Artists in the Woods", and a quilting club.
